Start time: The Run will begin on Buttercrane Quay, adjacent to Buttercrane Shopping Centre at 9.45am.

Distance/Route: Approximately 1 mile around the streets of Newry

Entry Forms:  Available from Buttercrane Shopping Centre SOON!!

Completed forms should be returned to Customer Services Desk at Buttercrane and upon receipt, each entry will receive a race number to wear for the Run.

Entry Fee: £3.00 per person or £10.00 per family of four. All proceeds to go to designated charities (see website for further information).

The Fun Run provides an opportunity for everyone – young and old to be part of the great occasion and atmosphere that is Newry City Marathon. The Fun Run is over a short distance of approx. 1 mile and offers families, friends, business groups and individuals a chance to be part of this year’s marathon experience. So come along kids, parents and even grandparents to strut your stuff over a short distance on the city streets. Sponsored again this year by Buttercrane  Shopping Centre the Fun Run aims to ensure that everyone’s a winner with commemorative medals, post-race snacks and a chance to win spot prizes for all finishers. Participants are also encouraged to wear outlandish fancy dress or even band together to represent their company or place of work on the day. So come on, have fun, keep fit and be part of the Newry City Marathon experience!
