MASSAGE AVAILABLE AT FINISH
Newry City Marathon is delighted to announce the involvement of experienced local masseur Garreth Thornton on May 31st who together with his team will offer post-race massages to those who need them in the marquee area at the Finish on Merchant’s Quay. Garreth, who owns and runs the very successful GT Massage clinic in Dallan Road, Warrenpoint, is offering this service free of charge and in tandem with his team will be a sight for sore limbs.
GT Massage is a recently established clinic offering a range of massage and soft-tissue treatments to clients of all ages from all walks of life. Located in the Warrenpoint area of South Down, GT Massage has already established a reputation for providing high quality treatments in a relaxed, comfortable environment - attributes which are essential for ensuring that clients are at their ease even before treatment begins.
GT Massage is owned and operated by Garreth Thornton BSc(Hons) VTCT Dip Sports & Remedial Massage Therapy. Garreth is a sports studies graduate from the University of Central Lancashire, Preston. He is also a keen sportsman. The combination of his academic background and his hands-on sporting experience give him a unique perspective for understanding the needs of his sports massage clients, and this knowledge is totally transferable to those clients not from sporting backgrounds.
Having proper facilities is a pre-requisite for successful massage. At GT Massage , therapies are provided in a calm, comfortable and relaxing environment. Standards of hygiene are strictly adhered to and, as massage can have a dehydrating effect, drinking water is provided for all clients.
