A1 2010 10k

Over 400 atheletes of all ages and abilities took to the roads on Sunday morning to avail of the one and only chance to run legally & safely down the middle of the newest road in Ireland. Lagan Ferrovial assisted in sealing off the now complete Newry Bypass to allow this unique event to take part. Under blue sky the field of runners raced along the empty dual carriageway for a calibrated distance of 10 kilometers. The winner of the mens race was Newrys own Eamon White and the ladies race was won by local sporting angel Julie Turley.
