Marathon Course

Meeting outside the Sports Centre at 9:00am the marathon field will be walked to the starting point on Monaghan street and will then take the following route

First leg Starting on Monaghan Street.  Left onto Merchants Quay then straight to Canal Quay. Join Towpath at WIN Business Park. Leave Tow Path at Shepherds Way turning left on Sheperds Way, right onto Tandragee Road. At Jerrettspass turn the second right then left onto Tow path. Towpath followed until Gambles (crack) bridge where a left is taken onto Drumintine Hill. Take next right onto Old Road and follow until it rejoins main Tandragee Road...through  Poyntzpass to finish first leg at water stop opposite Trainors garage on Scarva side of village.

Second leg starts on main Tandragee Road then continues straight as far as junction with Terryhoogan Road.  Leave main road turning right onto Terryhoogan Road. Reach halfway mark and turn right rejoining Tow Path at the end of Terryhoogan Road. Stay on Tow Path and return to Poyntzpass  finishing leg two after exiting tow path and crossing road to waterstop in Poyntzpass.

  Third leg follows towpath to Newry at WIN Business Park. Following Canal Quay, Merchants Quay then left at Bellinis onto Kildare Street taking a Right at theTown hall onto Hill Street  and finish at Newry Credit Union Hill Street Newry.
